Lodge Farm Barns – Essex

What an amazing event I was asked to be part of last week. I was a corporate party at the new Lodge Farm Barns in Nazeing  a beautiful new rural  venue located just outside London. The venue are mainly aiming for the wedding market but take on corporate work midweek as well. Unlike most wedding barn venues they have managed to hold on to that rustic feel and they have the benefit of being run by the lovely Bryony for whom

Visual Jockey or VJ

Visual Jockey or VJ - Visual Jockey's are becoming more and more part of the event scene and finding someone who understands both the art of performance and the performance of art is important to you having the kind of event you are after. I can design shows around a theme or a logo, the more simplistic the core theme the better and more effective the visuals tend to be. Having worked in large venues like the Roundhouse and CooperBox

London 18th Party

London 18th Party, 150 guests and a great night. I played a mixture of remixes of current tunes, plus some classics to keep the dancefloor going right from the start. My new JBL sub woofer which goes down to 30hz really helped with this kind of event. This what was said afterwards: Hi Paul I just wanted to say thank you for providing such a great service on Saturday 31st March for Daisy's 18th Birthday party.  Daisy and her friends had

Indie dance night at Groucho Club – Soho London

Indie dance night at Groucho Club - Soho London The Groucho Club remains a bastion and refuge for arts, literature and media folk in the bohemian heart of London’s West End. This was such a great night in one of Soho's most cosmopolitan clubs. In the crowd was Andrew Ridgley from Wham and Rusty Egan from the Visage. Also present was Chris Sullivan of the Wag club who rather kindly said its great to hear a good DJ as most

90’s Music

90's music - The 90’s started where the 80’s finished off musically but then we saw Electronic music, which had increased in popularity in the 1980s, grew highly very in the 1990s; house and techno from the 1980s rose to international success in this decade, as well as new electronic dance music genres such as Techno and Trance. Not being left behind in the 90s either was Hip-hop which had done well in the eighties also.   Rock and Pop

Fifty somethings Funky birthday party

Fifty Funky Party - This Funky Fifty something wanted to relive his youth with music he heard in the clubs back in the day.  A bit of Funk finished of with some 90's House and a few Faithless tracks. Alternative 80’s night in Tanzania

Alternative 80's night in Tanzania - While in Zanzibar, I also played at an 80's event. They did not want the normal 80's cheese and chart music but a cooler more club like set. The tracks I played where like a Blitz meets the Hacienda type set and for me a really enjoyable challenge.         Talking with Myself '98 (Canny Remix) Electribe 101 Fade to grey nu mix cinematic Rusty Egan Colourfield - virgins and philistines -

Zanzibar – Tanzania “Crazy After Party”

Zanzibar - I was invited by Pete Bones DJ and the owner of Red Ant Records  to play with him 5 times over 10 days in Zanzibar. The venue was the Coral Rock Hotel Zanzibar  an amazing place with great staff who like to party, but also want the guests to have a real experience on the island. Musically the brief for the first night I play was Tech House and Afro/Tribal House, we would be playing after a party being held

Bucks 18th Party

Buckinghamshire independant state school Pipers Corner  was the venue for this 18th Party It was a nice slow start as the Party was a themed event with James Bond and Casino Royal the subject and it gave the guests a chance to play on the roulette and card tables downstairs and also to sample a few cocktails - shaken but not stirred. I supplied all the lighting sound lasers smoke and also the visual themed projection  with images of James bond moving
