An Audience with Rusty Egan

Over the past few years, I have been lucky enough to work alongside Rusty Egan a major influence in 80’s music and the club scene back then. He is still producing some amazing music and DJing. Working alongside him at some great events such as Freddy Rocks at Pikes in Ibiza and also alongside Rusty and  Steve Norman from Spandau Ballet playing the sax at a charity gig in Mayfair- London.

It was a pleasure to help out with the production of “An Audience with Rusty Egan” at Pizza Express in Holburn, London a venue that used to be known as the Jazz Cafe, London

I was responsible for all the production, so sound lighting and the Visual projection on the the night. I also helped Rusty with the promotion off the sell out event.

It was a great evening with Rusty telling anecdotes of his time in the music industry, starting with The Clash, and the Skids to Visage and his current album “Welcome to the dancefloor.

He has been involved with artists such as Madonna, Soft Cell, Spandau Ballet, Depeche Mode, Thin Lizzy etc etc

On the night while Rusty was meeting and greeting, I got a chance to play a set of music that over time, Rusty had introduced me to back in the 80’s.
