Pool Party - I was asked to DJ at a rather cool Pool Party after the organiser had seen me play at some local clubs and bars. The brief was to start with a nice chilled set, building the tempo over 5 hours. I started at 16.00 and this video was taken just as it got dark and most people had got out of the pool. Hideaway - Surbiton Marina. I am lucky enough to be a resident DJ at Hideaway in Surbiton. This venue is all about a vibe of great food, staff, location, music and of course its customers. The perfect hangout for a bite to eat, afternoon libations & late night liaisons. Hideaway is a riverside restaurant that has 50 covers and an amazing terrace overlooking the River Thames. Our outdoor seating works on a first come first served basis. Playing twice a month, once on a Friday evening and once for Sunday Brunch, I get to select some very chilled tunes that compliment the setting and allow people to enjoy the meal and converse. Sky Glass is a custom-designed 4K TV that streams live television, on-demand boxsets and streaming apps over your broadband connection. Its one of the biggest consumer products that has come to market for a while and I was asked to DJ at the soft product launch. (This is the party where Sky glass thanks the contributors to the creation of the product, be they Sky employee's or external suppliers. Either way it was a big deal with 300 people with varied musical tastes to entertain. The event was held in Aures under Waterloo station. Aures is a London-based event space that connects and inspires people to achieve wellbeing through art, technology and immersive experiences. Halloween Wedding - I new this wedding was going to be a bit different when the groom gave me the date...... He was very insistent that this was not going to be an ordinary affair, my wife will be all in black he said. (you can see her dancing on the stage in front of me in one of the videos below) It may have been very different, but it was a lot of fun. 90's Music Party - I was asked to DJ at a private event in the rather cool Omera by London Bridge. This venue is owned and run by the guys from the band Munford and Sons so they know how to do things right. My brief was to play classic 90's with some cheese, but also to take requests outside the era if I felt it would work. Wedding venues are back open after being closed for over 18 months, which means lots of wedding previously cancelled, plus current weddings are all going ahead. The feelings at the weddings I have played at since Lockdown have been one of great celebration and fun.....long may it continue. House party - Finally on 23rd July, I got to play back in a club again and the past 18 months became just a bad dream..... What better place to play than Putney Pies where the likes of Jon sa Trinxa fly in to London just to play there. I was over the moon to be the first DJ to play post covid and the evening did not disappoint. 40th 90's Party -With Lockdown almost over the parties are starting to happen again. This was a small scale event of 30 people an the theme was 90's music and historical fancy dress and was in the Gothic building on Wandsworth common in the restaurant Le Gothic London's original gastro in the Royal Victoria Patriotic Building. The result was a great night for all and a message from the party girl first thing the next day saying... "You were absolutely fab! “We used Paul for our wedding in Umbria and he was absolutely brilliant! From the outset, he was very easy to work with – responsive to our emails, polite and accommodating.
We wanted to include a very wide-ranging repertoire, covering all sorts of genres from Persian and Jewish music to garage, indie to house. He did all of this effortlessly!
We had initially agreed for Paul to play for 4 hours but we extended without hesitation for an extra 1.5 hour (until 3.30 am!) as we all wanted to continue partying to his music! The next day, he played at our pool party which went down a treat as well. We all had so much fun dancing to his music! Paul clearly loves what he does and this comes through in his performance.
